Rose Plays Julie to close Oscar and Bafta qualifying Foyle Film Festival

After a successful run on the international festival circuit, with screenings at the likes of Philadelphia Film Festival, Tallgrass Film Festival, Sao Paulo and Helsinki Film Festival, Rose Plays Julie returns home to screen at the prestigious Foyle Film Festival in Derry. Foyle Film Festival, now in it’s 33rd year, has gone virtual and will take place on their online platform from November 20th – 29th. ‘This riveting work about the horror of human existence is shattering to sit through, but it tells us also about fortitude and spirit. Its emotional dilemmas, depictions of trauma, revenge and fractured family ties are handled with such skill and sense of purpose, it is truly exemplary film-making.’ ★★★★★ – Martyn Conteria, CineVue

‘Like many of the films of Hitchcock, and even more so his arch-imitator Brian de Palma, Rose Plays Julie is a film largely comprised around the acts of looking and following.’ – Eric Hillis, The Movie Waffler

Rose Plays Julie will close the festival at 8pm on Sunday 29th of November. Make sure to visit their website for more info on how to book your ticket.
