My Sailor, My Love

My Sailor, My Love tells the story of Howard, a retired sea captain who falls in love with his home-aid Annie; but his middle-aged daughter Grace does not approve of the relationship.
The film, which was shot in Achill, Co. Mayo, marks the English-language debut of award-winning Finnish director Klaus Härö. The film is written by Jimmy Karlsson and Kirsi Wikman. It is produced by Kai Nordberg and Kaarle Aho for Finland’s Making Movies; and David Collins for Ireland’s Samson Films. Executive producers are Cloe Garbay and Bastien Sirodot for Belgium’s Umedia and it is co-produced by Edwina Forkin.
The cast includes James Cosmo (Braveheart, Game of Thrones), Bríd Brennan (Dancing at Lughnasa, Brooklyn), Catherine Walker (A Dark Song, The Delinquent Season) and Nora-Jane Noone (The Magdalene Sisters, Wildfire).
